What's the average cost of a home we build? That's a tough question. We say that not to be evasive, but because it’s true. With custom homes, the cost varies dramatically based on the size of the home, its design and the materials you choose.
The comparison we always like to make is: How much does a bag of groceries cost? If you fill the bag with filet mignon and fine cheeses, it might cost $100. If you fill it with fruits and vegetables, it might cost $15.
Similarly, there are wide variations in price for every type of building material. You could spend $5 for a basic metal shower rod or $5,000 for a shower with a frameless glass enclosure. You could buy a $500 refrigerator or a $10,000 model.
One thing you should know about cost is that we price by the line item, not the square foot. You’ll know exactly what we paid for building materials, so you’ll understand exactly why the project costs what it does. We want you to know that you’re getting a fair price.
